The Gili Gambay Project Artwork

This artwork represents the strength of Aboriginal community, culture, and connection to Country. The textured patterns in the top left corner symbolise the land and reflect the layers of life, story, and knowledge carried through generations. In the top right corner, the gumtree leaves represent the natural environment and the importance of native plants, showing respect for the land that continues to provide and sustain community.

At the centre is a family symbol, representing how The Gili Gambay Project works together through unity, support, and shared purpose. The individual symbols reflect the people and work across six brands, showing how everyone contributes their own strengths to build something bigger together.

The sun rays represent people shining together, while the sun flecks spreading outward symbolise the project’s impact reaching through community and across Country. The circles in the bottom right corner represent connection, equality, and the way community comes together through unity and respect.

The pathways leading out from the centre represent different journeys, opportunities, and futures created through the project. They remind us that there is always another way forward. The footprints symbolise the ancestors who walked before us and the guidance they continue to provide, showing that this project is led by community and grounded in culture, strength, and belonging.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live and travel across. We would like to pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging while highlighting their deep and enduring spiritual connection to the land, waterways and sky.

We are committed to fostering a workplace where all voices are heard and valued, We believe I the power of community and the importance of celebrating our differences. We are honoured to be located on this beautiful land, and aim to use our platform to promote togetherness, understanding, empathy, and belonging as we learn from the oldest living culture in the world.

Let’s care for country as country cares for us.
